When we were sure that our dog, Ginger, was ready to go, Dr. Ramos came to our house. She made Ginger comfortable and explained the whole process. My five year old granddaughter wanted to be part of the experience and Dr. Ramos did an amazing job of including my granddaughter and explaining everything for her. In the end, Dr. Ramos took Ginger to be cremated. Her lovely assistant, Lexi, later presented us with a beautiful wooden box with Ginger's name engraved on it. It meant the world to me that Ginger had a calm, quiet, easy transition with her family all around her. Dr. Ramos has a kind and gentle presence. She must be the best person in the world for this job. I am deeply grateful to her for how she handled every step.
We've had two previous experiences of having our dogs euthanized in our home. In our opinion, there is no other way. This gives the animal and the owners, the most comfortable, positive, loving experience. We give Dr. Cheryl Ramos 10 stars for the care that she gave us and our 12 year old, 8lb Chihuahua Terrier Poodle mix dog, Ringo today. Dr. Ramos was professional with her communication via text and face to face. Most of all, she was so caring, compassionate and kind with my wife and I as well as our dog Ringo. My wife is a hospice nurse and knows about the type pf bedside manner people in our situation deserve and need. Dr. Ramos was right on point with ALL OF IT! We felt so comfortable with her and we felt that Ringo received excellent care from her. She was so loving towards all of us. We were all in good hands with Dr. Ramos. She explained the process step by step. She gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes to Ringo. We never felt rushed. Everything went smoothly and naturally. It really was a beautiful way for Ringo to transition. We had him on his favorite couch outside next to our koi pond. We had meditation music on. Ringo had on his favorite sweater and his passports to heaven. We will be recommending Dr. Ramos to EVERYBODY! She has been doing this for 30 years and in our opinion, she is the BEST of the BEST. We will keep calling on her for all of our animals.
I don't need to tell you how much it hurts and it sucks to have to take care of your bestest friend in the end. Brings tears to my eyes thinking about it all, the memories, the happiness, the heartbreak, all of it. In moments like this, few things bring comfort. However, Dr. Cheryl did just that. No one else was there, it was just us, which I think is perfectly appropriate. I think she guards appointments in this way to allow people do do pass through all those emotional phases that they do. She was comforting, helpful, knew when I needed support and when I needed space, and was simply fantastic. The setting was just fine, it was cozy and comfortable, and it met the needs of our unfortunate event perfectly. She was referred to me by I can't remember who but there were a few friends who pointed me that way. I'm thankful that they did. You will be too.
As sad as it was to put our dear 14 year old cat down. Cheryl was our knight in shining armor. Loving patient explaining walking us through the steps. And a beautiful soft pillow basket to set our beautiful cat cruiser in. Thank you so much for all your kindness and ability to help our pet over the rainbow Lisa and Rod
It's never an easy decision to say goodbye to our fur babies. I contacted Cheryl when I knew that the end was inevitable for my sweet girl. She was so kind and took the time to answer all of my questions when I felt as if my vet was being dismissive. She really went above and beyond to accommodate me when my dog had taken a turn for the worse and we needed to put her to rest sooner than expected. Cheryl is kind, communicative and very methodical in her approach. We opted for in home services. She took the time to explain everything she was doing and to make sure that the dog was comfortable. I opted for cremation with remains returned. My pets ashes are stored in a beautiful custom engraved box with her name on them. Cheryl even was kind enough to include a condolence card and she also used a portion of the proceeds as a donation to the charity of our choice. She is a wonderful person and I highly recommend her.
