Heirloom Cremation provided exceptional care for my mom, and I cannot say enough good things about Stephanie Reed. During one of the hardest times of my life, Stephanie handled everything with such compassion, patience, and professionalism. She took the time to explain every step, answered all of our questions, and treated my mom with the utmost dignity and respect. Her kindness truly made a difficult process more manageable, and I’m incredibly grateful for the care she showed our family. I highly recommend Heirloom Cremation, and especially Stephanie Reed.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to Melissa from Heirloom Cremation. From the very first moment, Melissa showed a level of compassion and professionalism that brought genuine comfort during an incredibly difficult time. She communicated clearly and consistently, often responding so quickly that it truly felt like she was available 24/7. I’m certain many of her messages came after her work hours, yet she never once made me feel like a burden. Her dedication went far above and beyond what anyone could hope for, and it made an overwhelming process feel manageable. Melissa’s kindness, patience, and attention to detail made a meaningful difference for our family. She deserves recognition for the remarkable service she provided, and we are deeply grateful for her support and care. - Kellye & Jessica and Nancy.
My experience with Heirloom Cremation was very positive. Melissa was compassionate, professional, and extremely responsive, especially when there was a last-minute change of plans with my husband's ashes. Heirloom's pricing is clear and competitive, and there was no attempt to upsell me on additional services. This is an excellent service that will help you through a difficult time in life, and I can recommend them without reservation.
I can not express enough my gratitude and appreciation for Heirloom Cremation! My first contact was with Mariah who was extremely helpful, then Stephanie was the main point of contact during the whole process over the phone and emails. She was extremely helpful and compationate in helping us navigate this emotional time after the unexpected passing of our mom. One notified in the timely manner as promised, our mom's ashes were ready for pickup from Heirlooms Convoy office here in San Diego. Upon arrival I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Henry. He had the final documents ready for pickup along with mom's ashes. Henry explained how he was the individual who picked up mom from the hospital, transported her to the crematorium and then back to their office. After speaking with Henry it gave me a sort of closure understanding the process and time line. I can't not stress the importance of the peace of mind you will have after choosing Heirloom, and their pricing was actually what you saw on their website. No hidden fees or surprises. Thank you Heirloom!
While my initial contact with Stephanie was outstanding, the subsequent problems that followed left a bitter taste that I wish I had not experienced. There was minor miscommunication regarding the pickup for my wife's ashes. While it was implied, I'd hear from their delivery/pick up guy Henry to get the ashes within a 'day or so', I called the next week after not hearing from Henry. I was told he was very, very busy, but he would call me the next day (now a week later). When I spoke to him, he asked what time I wanted to come down to their location in an industrial park on Convoy Ct in San Diego. I told him that I'd be there at 12 noon on Tuesday. But Henry was a joke - Irresponsible, unprofessional, and a liability to their organization. The appointment time was 12 noon. I arrived 10 minutes early and walked up to the door, but it was locked and the lights were off in the very dark office, not an issue as I was early. I waited until noon, walked up to the door, and still locked with no lights. At about 12:05 I look over and the door was partially being opened. I walk across the parking lot and there's Henry standing there in a still dark office saying he didn't realize what time it was. Obviously, he had been there the whole time, but yet he hadn't unlocked the door knowing I was coming for the prearranged appointment. Entering the dark office with the light still off, it was cluttered both on the desk and the floor, with weight lifting weights laying around on the floor. I've unfortunately had to go through the loss of another family member in Los Angeles recently, and that experience was completely different. The location to pick up the ashes was not in an industrial park, it had posted times they were open, and the interior was clean and welcoming. To say this was one of the most unprofessional interactions I've ever had is an understatement. This was like amateur hour and unbelievably disrespectful to their customers.
