City Cremation provides compassionate pet aftercare services in San Francisco, CA.
I appreciated City Cremation's services. They were always responsive, which went a long way during a difficult time. It took a little over 3 weeks between my first call to them to when I picked up my loved one's cremains. A good thing to know in advance is that their time slots for picking up the cremains are quite limited. I knew I was looking for a straightforward, no-frills direct cremation service, and they were a great choice.
My brother passed away Dec 26th. I was lost trying to figure out how to handle this situation from OHIO. And day after Christmas. I called 2 other funeral homes. It was not going well. Couldn't get return calls or helpful service. I gave CITY CREMATION a call and received EVERYTHING I needed on the spot. AMANDA has been a total blessing for my mother and me during a HORRIFIC time. She handled everything for me and was always professional and we even kidded around with each other by the end. Not sure the man's name that answers outside working hours, but he seemed very genuine as well. Also, I expected to pay way higher prices in California, especially getting his ashes sent to Ohio. It was very very affordable considering the situation and working with them from Ohio. THANKS AGAIN CITY CREMATION, AMANDA, AND MAN WHO I SPOKE TO AFTER HOURS!
I worked with City Cremation after my infant son died at UCSF. We already had a church for his memorial service and we are planning to plant a tree with his ashes, so we were looking for a company that offered simple, no-frills direct cremation with a minimum of fuss. City Cremation made things very simple with everything done by email and fax. They were very responsive and professional. Arranging the cremation of a loved one is a very difficult thing to go through, and I really appreciate how easy they made it - I would recommend them to anyone who needs to arrange a cremation and doesn't need extra services like a place to hold a memorial service, a place to intern ashes, a fancy urn for display, etc.
Disclaimer: I have not yet had occasion to use their services. City Cremation publish their prices on their web site, and these look very competitive, especially in comparison with conventional burial. You won't come back and say you've been burned. The location is at the intersection of two bike paths and close to the 12 Folsom and Bart. The building is understated, with some nice planter boxes overhead. There are some sandbags obstructing the entry, but you will find these on several Folsom street businesses as the area is prone to flooding.
