Fond Memories Pet Cemetery & Crematorium - Haynes Rd - Houston, TX provides compassionate pet aftercare services in Houston, TX.
Such an incredible place! I lost my sweet angel after 16.5 years and it was such a sad day knowing I was coming to pick her ashes up. They will mail them but I don’t trust the postal service with something like this. Anyway, they had two precious golden retrievers in the lobby that I got to love on and when I say they were precious, believe me!!! I love the beautiful little box and name plate they made for her. The lady up front was so sweet and kind. I wish I would’ve gotten her name. It’s the last building on the right. 🥹
For the most part the crematorium did a good job. I'm taking away a star because the nose print was not my dog's nose. We cremated an English Bulldog but the nose print we got was from a canine with a much more pronounced and open nose than our Tyke. My wife was so upset at the fake nose that she tore it up and threw it out. I understand that getting the nose print of an English Bulldog might look more like a Rorschach test, but their squished faces is part of their charm. In future, make sure the nose print matches the dog. We know every centimeter of our dogs. What they do and don't look like. Even if the nose print is a disaster, that dog was OUR disaster, and we loved them.
We recently entrusted Casper to Fond Memories Pet Cemetery & Crematorium, and we are deeply grateful for their compassionate care. The staff treated him with dignity and kindness, and we received him today well-packaged and cared for. Thank you for honoring Casper’s memory with such respect.
Fond Memories handled Moon’s aftercare with such kindness. The vet from Lap of Love brought her to them, and from my first phone call, Fond Memories was thoughtful and responsive. They even followed up about Moon’s favorite toys and leash, which we had sent along with Moon. They also helped us explore different options, including potentially arranging a transfer so we could have a private viewing (this location does not do private viewing, but the location in Conroe does). When we were ready to bring Moon home, they treated the moment with respect. Losing our fur baby has not been easy, but Fond Memories made the experience more gentle and respectful. We’re very grateful
Last summer, we lost everything in a tragic house fire, including four of our beloved animals. Two dogs, two cats. They were our family. The morning after the fire, in the middle of shock and heartbreak, we had to make the unbearable decision to have them cremated. We called Cherish Pet Cremation, not knowing what to expect, and they got us in right away. No hesitation. No questions. Just kindness. My dad was the one who brought them in. He was devastated and still in shock. And the way they treated him was so kind– he still talks about their kindness. They were so gentle and understanding with him. They treated our animals with care and showed so much empathy when we needed it most. That kind of compassion sticks with you. It took us over a year to finally open the bags. We kept them on the top shelf of a closet. We couldn’t even look at them. It hurt too much. But yesterday, my mom and I decided it was time. We were scared it would break us all over again. But when we opened them, we were met with something beautiful. Each of our pets was returned to us in a beautiful urn, along with a sweet memorial and their paw prints. It was so thoughtfully done. There was even a little note apologizing for our loss. We sat there and cried together. It wasn’t the awful moment we feared. It was tender. It was peaceful. And somehow, it gave us a small piece of closure we didn’t know we needed. Losing our home and our pets was the hardest thing our family has ever gone through. But Cherish Pet Cremations made that part of the journey just a little bit easier. We’re so grateful for the way they handled everything. They treated us like people. They treated our animals like they mattered. And we’ll never forget that. Thank you.
